Amazing Allana Raises Money for PCN
In last week’s Round Town News, we told you about Allana and Arthur Crouch who have been battling cancer together. The couple have decided to do something positive and have set up a cancer support group for cancer sufferers and their families in Orihuela Costa. The group, which is being supported by Paul Cunningham Nurses, meets at 14.00 on the last Friday of every month at Lister’s Bar in Cabo Roig and it was at Lister’s Bar that Allana decided to arrange her very first fundraiser for the PCN charity.

Chinese medicine and arthritis
ARTHRITIS AND the pain and inflammation that comes with it cannot be
avoided for most people over the age of 50. Joints do degenerate over
time. Fortunately, Arthritis can usually be managed by Acupuncture and
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

Learn to relax using Fast Track Hypnosis
IT IS commonly accepted that some people can cope with the stresses of
modern day life more readily than others. Some seem to fall completely
apart at the slightest pressure, while others seem to be untouched by
these stresses. If a person is presented with enough stress such as
bereavement; difficulties in personal life; financial problems; loss of
employment or other outside pressures, they will become stressed and
anxious. This may also be due to PMS, anger, or being in constant pain.

Placenta Praevia
MY daughter has been told she has ‘placenta praevia’. She will be 40
years old by the time she has her baby, and having had a previous
Caesarean Section I am even more concerned about her having a
complicated pregnancy. Please could you tell me a little more about
this condition? Placenta Praevia means that the placenta is low-lying in the uterus, either partially or completely covering the cervix.

Stop smoking and change your life in thirty minutes
MANY SMOKERS find that giving up smoking is the one of the most
difficult challenges they have faced. In fact, the pleasure found in
smoking is one of the reasons why giving it up seems impossible to
someone with this destructive addiction. There is nothing nicer to a
smoker than that after dinner cigarette or the first puff of the day
with a hot cup of coffee.

Dr Lawrence has changed my life!
We interview a patient from the Costa Blanca Chiropractic Centre: Amanda
from Finestrat. What was your main reason for attending the chiropractor? I have suffered from low back pain since the birth of my first child and
I have experienced sciatica on and off many times. In this last year,
things have been getting dramatically worse and I also began to
experience some pain in my neck as well. It was then I decided something
needed to be done.

Looking after your feet
THE FEET are anatomically complicated structures which we tend to use;
abuse and take for granted. The foot and ankle is a strong and complex
mechanical structure containing 26 bones, 33 joints (20 of which are
actively articulated) and more than 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments.
The heel bone is the main weight-bearing bone in the foot and has a
layer of fat underneath to cushion it. In the mid section, two
longitudinal and one transverse arch are maintained by the interlocking
bones, strong ligaments and pulling muscles during activity; these
arches serve as a shock absorber for the body.
